Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph of a deteriorated beam end at the La Casa Nueva Courtyard balcony, 28 February 1979. The beam end is in the center almost completely eaten through with termites and dry rot. Around it is the white plaster from the wall section just beneath the balcony floor, a hint of which is at the very top right. To the bottom right are a couple of the roof tiles on the shelf below the upper east wing. At the bottom of the artifact is a green pen inscription which reads "South East Beam To be cut / back & New Carved Beam To be / Attached. 2/28/79." With little indication of wear or damage, the object is in good condition.
