Description

LA CASA NUEVA BASEMENT DOOR FROM OUTSIDE AND TO THE WEST Color: Black; White A negative of La Casa Nueva's basement door from the west just outside in the courtyard, ca. 1928. The door is at center and has ten rows of five plaques, on which are different configurations of metal concha-like decorations. A ring-type handle is at the right side of the door. Next to the door, between it and the door to the Main Hall is a table or cart with a jar and other objects within it. At the bottom are some of the baseboard tiles and a portion of the flagstone walkway. It appears the negative was somewhat over-exposed, because it appears there is a plaque above the door, but it is hardly visible. Other than non-intrusive darkening at the top and bottom edges, there is no observable wear or damage and the object is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
