Description

LA CASA NUEVA CONSTRUCTION FROM SOUTH OF EVERGREEN LANE Color: Black; White A black and white negative of La Casa Nueva's construction from south of Evergreen Lane, ca. 1924. The view shows most of the house, although the lower wall from the Mission Walkway impedes some visibility. The walls are unplastered, the roof has plywood sheeting, but is not tiled, the courtyard balcony is in its early stages, and there are window, door, and vent openings, but no doors and screens. In the foreground left is Evergreen Lane with a few trees of that type planted on both sides. There is also some degree at the lower left, but it is not esaily discernible. Aside from darkening on the upper left and lower left edges, not affecting the image, there is no wear or damage and the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
