Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph of a beam with major damage on the west side of the La Casa Nueva Courtyard balcony, 28 February 1979. The beam extends from the wall several inches, but has significant termite and/or dry rot damage, to the extent that the animal carving originally on the beam was totally obliterated. Surrounding the beam is the stained and abraded white plaster of the wall just below the balcony floor. An inscription in green ink at the bottom of the object reads "Southwest Beam To be cut / back To Wall & New beam with / Carving To be Placed. 2/28/79." With little indication of wear or damage, the image is in good condition.
