Description

LA CASA NUEVA COURTYARD FROM THE MISSION WALKWAY Color: Black; White A photograph of La Casa Nueva courtyard from the Mission Walkway, ca. 1932. Taken from the south side of the Mission Walkway directly south of the house, the image shows elements of the courtyard, including the fountain; much of the balcony; the south side of the main roof, including solar panels; portions of the porticos; small sections of the recently-completed dormitories enclosing the second floor patios; grass in the foreground; the walkway leading from the east side of the courtyard toward the Tepee; bushes, shrubs, and a sycamore tree; all or part of two round adobe planters; and, at the top, a few pieces of the trellis for the Mission Walkway. The photograph has a crinkled edge and there is a rectagular piece with two holes for mounting the image into a paper album, which is item 49.2. In good condition overall, the item has only minor reverse discoloration and paper bowing. Number-Units: 1
