Description

LA CASA NUEVA COURTYARD FROM THE SECOND FLOOR WEST WING PATIO Color: Black; White A negative of the La Casa Nueva courtyard from the second floor west wing patio, ca. 1928. The view shows the fountain at the center, with metates and grinding stones and other objects on the larger millstones and water with lily pads in the basin. Around the fountain and toward the east wing is some of the flagstone walkway. To the left is a planter bed with some banana palm trees in it. To the center and right is a section of the east portico showing a chair and what seems to be a stand with a potted plant in it, both of these between the doors to the Cold Storage Pantry and Walter Sr.'s Bathroom. At the top is a portion of the second floor east patio with a swing, potted palm trees and other items. In the foreground is a section of the tile roof below where the photographer stood. With some non-intrusive darkening to the left and right edges, there is otherwise no damage or wear and the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
