Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the courtyard of La Casa Nueva, summer 1927. Taken from the Mission Walkway (a few grape leaves and a couple of vines are at the far right and left of the image), the courtyard is shown without the fountain, walkways, or much landscaping, except for one tree at the center foreground. In the portico, are some potted palms, a birdcage, and some furniture. Toward the back left, or west portico, is a man and possibly another person seated on the flagstone walk. The second floor balcony lacks a railing and above it can be seen solar panels on the red tile roof. Portions of the second floor patios are also visible. On the reverse upper left is a stamp with the number "130" while at the center is another stamp with the development process "ENAMELO", the date "AUG 31 1927" and the developer's name "WEBBS", from San Jose, on it. With little indication of damage or wear, the photograph is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
