Description
LA CASA NUEVA COURTYARD TAKEN FROM THE SOUTH, CA. 1927.
A black and white reproduction photograph of the La Casa Nueva courtyard, ca. 1927, taken from under the mission walkway arbor. Probably taken at the same time as 96.22.17, .19-.21, showing a finished area with the fountain (and items set on the mill stones--see .17). There are small plants in front of the fountain and large banana palms behind it. Large bushes appear to be at the end of the left portico, blocking access there (note swing at end of portico). The east portico has a birdcage and small potted plant on stand. From a negative owned by Ruth Ann Michaelis.
