Description

LA CASA NUEVA COURTYARD WEST SIDE FROM THE SOUTH Color: Black; White A negative of the west side of the La Casa Nueva courtyard from the lawn to the south, ca. 1928. The view shows the fountain at right center, about three-quarters of the west wing, including columns and some sections of the portico, which is partially obscured by plants in the foreground, and a section of the second floor patio. At the center and right is a portion of the main block of the house, although much of this is hidden behind banana palm trees behind the fountain. What is most available to view is the roof, with solar panels near the edge and the Library fireplace chimney. In the foreground are grass, small trees, the adobe walkway from the east side of the courtyard toward the Tepee and an adobe planter just behind the walk. Other than non-intrusive darkened areas at the left edge, there is no wear and damage and the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
