Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of a buffet in the Dining Room of La Casa Nueva, ca. 1940. The piece of furniture is situated on the south wall between the doors to the Courtyard and to the Butler's Pantry. It is a long, rectagular and made of wood with much carving throughout. On the ends of the front are doors with handles in the center, while between these are two long drawers. There are six legs, four in the front and two in the rear. On top of the piece are a silver tea service; a silver bowl and what appears to be a ceramic one; and perhaps other pieces, all sitting on a lace runner. Above the buffet on the wall is the lower part of a tapestry that has English-style heraldic designs. On the left next to the buffet and to the doorway to the Butler's Pantry is a dining chair without arms, made of dark wood, like that of the buffet and having a curved seat. At the lower left, in front of the buffet, is a rug, though the pattern is not discernible. On the reverse lower right corner is the stamped number "42." With only very light discoloration, the artifact is in good condition.
