Description

LA CASA NUEVA EAST ELEVATION FROM ADJACENT YARD AREA TO THE NORTH Color: Black; White A black and white negative of La Casa Nueva's east elevation from the adjoining yard area to the north, ca. 1928. The house is to the right and much of the east side is in view and the home looks completed. At the left is the Mission Walkway and there appears to be a profusion of grape vines and other plants around the walkway. At center background is the historic San Gabriel palm tree, planted near Walter Sr.'s Bedroom. To the left of the tree is an antenna, evidently for a radio in the adjacent auditorium. Aside from very minor darkening on the top and bottom edges, minimally affecting the image, there is no wear or damage and the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
