Description

LA CASA NUEVA EAST ELEVATION FROM CENTER DRIVEWAY Color: Black; White A black and white negative of La Casa Nueva's east elevation from the center driveway, ca. 1928. The view is from the southeast and shows the unplastered walls of the house, the roof with plywood sheeting but no tiles and the lower section of the Mission Walkway main wall partially completed. At the right, the rudiments of the Master Bedroom balcony are also in evidence. In the foreground are evergreen trees and other plantings in the planter bed between the drive and the Mission Walkway wall. A power pole at the right and wires extending across the top of the photo are also notable. At the far right of the foreground is a stack of adobe bricks. Aside from darkening on the edges, not affecting the image, there is no wear or damage and the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
