Description

LA CASA NUEVA EAST ELEVATION, NORTH SIDE FROM THE MISSION WALKWAY Color: Black; White A black and white negative of La Casa Nueva's east elevation, north side, from the Mission Walkway, ca. 1924. The view is from the east and shows the unplastered walls of the house, the roof with plywood sheeting but no tiles, the early stages of the Master Bedroom balcony and the unfinished door and window openings. At the right, the enclosure wall around the house is not in evidence and there are small trees in the adjacent field. At the lower right corner is the newly built arch at the end of the Mission Walkway. A palm tree is at the lower center. Aside from darkening on the edges, not affecting the image, there is no wear or damage and the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
