Description
LA CASA NUEVA FROM THE YARD TO THE NORTHWEST, CA. 1927
Color: Black; White
A negative of La Casa Nueva from the yard to the northwest, ca. 1927. The house is completed, except for the arbor at the west end of the Music Room leading out to the West Lawn, of which there are four round adobe pillars in place but without plaster and no other elements done. At left is the front elevation ad a small portion of the Workman House roof in the background. Toward the right is the portion of the west elevation comprising the main two-story block of the house. In the foreground are plants and bushes and the cypress tree that survives at the corner of the patio. With top edge darkening that does not have impact on the image, the artifact is in good condition.
