LA CASA NUEVA FRONT ENTRANCE FROM THE NORTHWEST
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of the front entrance to La Casa Nueva from the north driveway, ca. 1941-42. The photographer probably stood on the low wall next to the driveway. The entrance gate is toward the lower left and is closed. Flanking it are two cement columns with a wall extending off to the lower right. Behind the entrance and partially obscured by landscaping is La Casa Nueva with the chimney, tile roof, a pair of french doors to the living room, and a portion of the master bedroom balcony visible. Trees, such as cypresses, palms, and others are visible between the front wall and the house, as well as behind the house, and some shrubs or bushes are in the planter in the foreground. On the reverse in the center is the penciled number "38." With some light discoloration but no other wear or damage of significance, the artifact is in good condition.
