LA CASA NUEVA FRONT FROM THE AREA IN FRONT TO THE NORTHWEST
Color: Black; White
A black and white negative of La Casa Nueva's front entrance taken from the area in front to the northwest, ca. 1927. The view is from just behind the patio wall, which is partially in the foreground. Most of the front elevation is visible and construction on the home looks nearly completed, although some covered material, perhaps flooring for the interior, is on the patio and a wooden ladder is set up to the right of the front door. The very top of the palm tree at the southeast corner, a yucca planted near the northeastern part of the building, and a small section of the east side of the Mission Walkway are also of note. In good condition, the item has darkened areas on the edge, but not intruding onto the image, though there may be a shadow, light exposure, or, perhaps, the fronds of a plant at the lower right.
