Description
LA CASA NUEVA FRONT FROM THE CENTER DRIVEWAY TO THE NORTHEAST
Color: Black; White
A black and white negative of La Casa Nueva's front entrance taken from the center driveway to the northeast, ca. 1926. The view is from the part of the driveway where it begins to curve toward the front of the Workman House. The front elevation of La Casa Nueva is in near-full view, except for an evergreen tree blocking the northeast corner. There is much evidence of construction, including piles of dirt, a section of the front wall removed for vehicle access, the Master Bedroom balcony partially finished, and other signs. Stacks of adobe bricks appear just to the left of the aforementioned tree. Other landscaping including palms, such as a tall one in front of the house are notable. Sections of the center and north driveway are in the foreground. The artifact is in fair condition with a missing section on the left edge, off the image, but a dark spot at the center right edge that does slightly intrude onto the image.
