Description
LA CASA NUEVA FRONT FROM THE ENCLOSURE WALL TO THE NORTHEAST
Color: Black; White
A black and white negative of La Casa Nueva's front elevation taken from the enclosure wall to the northeast, ca. 1928. The view seems to be from atop the wall and shows most of the front and a section of the east elevations of the house. The house appears largely completed, although covered materials on the patio near the entrance may be flooring for the inside. A notable feature is on the Master Bedroom balcony which has end carvings on the north side that seem to be birds or other animals and which were not replicated in the 1970s restoration. A Yucca tree is also planted next to the balcony. The artifact is in good condition, although there are some darkened areas at the edges not affecting the image.
