Description
LA CASA NUEVA FRONT FROM THE NORTH DRIVEWAY TO THE NORTHEAST
Color: Black; White
A black and white negative of La Casa Nueva's front entrance taken from the driveway to the northeast, ca. 1926. The view is from near where the north and center driveways meet. Much of the front elevation of the house is obscured by an evergreen tree. Flanking the tree are, at left, a stack of adobe bricks and, at the right, a pile of dirt. Behind the dirt is a gap in the enclosure wall to allow vehicle access to the house, which is under construction. The Master Bedroom balcony is partially completed and there is scaffolding at the corner where the front and west elevations meet. Construction debris lines the north side of the enclosure wall. Also notable is the palm tree in front of the house. The artifact is in good condition, although there are some damaged sections at the left and right edges not affecting the image.
