Description
LA CASA NUEVA FRONT FROM THE WORKMAN HOUSE TO THE NORTHEAST
Color: Black; White
A black and white negative of La Casa Nueva's front entrance taken from the lawn in front of the Workman House to the northeast, ca. 1925. The view shows the front and some of the east elevations of the house with much construction activity still evident. The plywood sheathing of the roof is on, but no tile work done; rough plastering of the walls and chimney are completed; the Master Bedroom and second floor entrance balconies are not commenced; and doors and windows do not appear to be installed in some cases. In the foreground is the grass and some rose bushes and trees in front of the Workman House. A wire fence and portions of the east side of the Mission Walkway are also of note. The artifact is in good condition with some darkening and tears on the edges, but nothing intrusive to the image.
