Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph (two copies) of the living room and dining room of La Casa Nueva, ca. 1940. The date is guessed at, but is assumed from the empty condition of the rooms. The photographer stood in the Living Room and shot the image looking into the dining room through the broad archway between the two spaces. Little of the living room is visible other than parts of the common wall. On the dining room, the doors to the breakfast room and butler's pantry; a few of the ceiling beams with carvings on the south end; part of the chandelier; and part of the wood floor are visible. On the reverse upper right is the penciled inscription "#19", while at center, in pencil, is the number "29." Aside from light surface soiling and discoloration, the photograph is in good condition.
