LA CASA NUEVA LIVING ROOM CHRISTMAS DECORATION--NORTH END
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph with one duplicate of Christmas decorations in the north end of the Living Room of La Casa Nueva, taken by Carol Crilly, December 1982. Taken from the archway separating the Living Room from the Dining Room, the image shows a Christmas tree, fully decorated with tinsel, popcorn strings and ornaments and having presents at its base at the right. In the center is the fireplace with garland, pinecones and two candleabra as decoration on the wooden mantel. Over the fireplace is a mirror. A woman, presumably a museum staff member, leans over a coffee table in front of the sofa, the top of which is in the foreground. At left is a floor lamp, partially visible, and a side table, on which there is a telephone, a box of cigarettes and an ashtray. Portions of the two north side windows are visible at far left and, behind the tree, at far right. Some of the corbels in the ceiling beams are visible at the top. On the reverse is a stamp reading "This paper manufactured / by Kodak. / JAN 83 SSD" with parts of two other stamps at two edges. With little or no indication of wear or damage, the print is in good condition.
