Description

LA CASA NUEVA MAIN HALL, CHRISTMAS DECORATION ON CONSOLE TABLE Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the marble and gilt console table on the west side of La Casa Nueva's Main Hall, taken by Carol Crilly, December 1982. The table, having a marble top, and elaborately carved cariole legs, stretcher bar at the bottom, and front panel of a Cupid within a C-scroll has a pile of greens and, it appears, flowers, as part of the museum's Christmas decorations. Above the table, on the wall, is most of the reproduced painting of William Workman in its original frame. Flanking the painting are the lower portions of the hanging lamp sconces. To the far left and right are the doors to the Library and Music Room and in front of these doors can be seen portions of stanchions that surrounded the polar bear rug on the floor, which is out of view. On the reverse is a stamp reading "This paper manufactured / by Kodak. / JAN 83 SSD" in two places with part of a third stamp at one edge. With little or no indication of wear or damage, the print is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
