Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of La Casa Nueva's Main Hall looking north, ca. 1920s. The arched door to the courtyard is at the center and to the left of this is one of the closet doors. A lighting fixture with two flame-shaped bulbs is on the wall to the left and in the corner on the far left is a wood chair. Tiles line the bottom of the wall. At the right is the stairway with tile-lined steps, a tall planter with a twist design, and the side of a painting on an easel. A shawl hangs from the baluster at the top center. Behind this are the wings of a bird ornament, and the bottom of the triptych window. At the center of the back is a stamp with the words, "ANDERSON / Photo Service / EL MONTE." At the bottom right corner is the number, "31." The photograph was housed in Agnes Temple's album which is item 96.7.94.1 along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With some water damage and stains along the top, the artifact is in fair condition overall.
