A black and white negative of the south side of the Main Hall of La Casa Nueva, ca. 1927, showing a polar bear rug facing the photographer, who was at the floor level, in the center of the room, a portion of a chair in the southeast corner, and the bottom section of a shawl draped over the stair landing. There is also a wooden or metal rod extending from one of the stair rail posts on the right of the photo. See 96.12.1.5 for a modern print developed from this negative. With little indication of wear or damage, the item is in good condition.
