Description

LA CASA NUEVA MASTER BEDROOM EAST WINDOW, MASSACHUSETTS CREST Color: Black; white A black and white photograph of a stained glass window panel in the east french doors of La Casa Nueva's Master Bedroom, ca. 1980. The image features the seal of Massachusetts with an oblong shape containing an inset design of a Native American man. The man is standing holding a bow in his left hand and an arrow in his right and he has a feather in his hair and is wearing a sash across his chest and pants that go down to his knees. His face is turned to the left where a five-pointed star is located. On top of the oblong shape is an arm holding a sword, while at the bottom is a scroll that curves around the design and has the following motto in Latin: "ENSE PETIT PLACIDAN SUB LIBERTATE QUITEM." This panel is one part of a larger window located on the east wall of the Master Bedroom. With little signs of wear, the image is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
