Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of La Casa Nueva's Music Room doors, May-October 1978. The arched wood doors are in the center from inside the room. Near the top center a scale has been placed. The doors have two carved panels, one on each side, nearest the middle, and two on each side of the bottom center which feature a stylized leaf design surrounding a planter inset in the center. Around each panel are rails separating other smooth panels of different shapes and sizes. An iron latch dangles from the center of the right door and a round lock is just above on the left. Two iron hinges with monkey figures are on the top and bottom of the left door. The wall's baseboard and the flooring can be seen below. Written in ink on the back top left corner is: "PHOTO SERIES R-9, #16/ SCALE: 1"-1'0"/ BY JEFF TYLER (JBT photo Sv.)/ VIEW TEMPLE MANSION/ MUSIC ROOM DOORS (FROM INSIDE RM.)/ PRIOR TO RESTORATION/ ca. 5-10/78." A stamp on the right provides the name and business information of Raymond Grivigian, the restoration architect. With no signs of wear, the image is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
