LA CASA NUEVA, TEPEE, AND MISSION WALKWAY FROM THE SOUTH
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of La Casa Nueva, Tepee, and Mission Walkway from the south, ca. 1920s. Across the center is a row of pine trees and behind these is the Mission Walkway. Some of the walkway's arches are visible behind the trees as well as the tile that lines the top. At the center is the top of the cone-shaped Tepee which has several long twigs protruding from the top and a brick chimney at the left. At the far left are the tops of several palm trees with one towering over the rest. Part of the Spanish colonial home's north roof is at the far right as well as the beams that are atop the second-floor east and west patios. Across the foreground is a dirt area where there are several bushes scattered throughout as well as a leaf-less tree at the right. Stamped at the bottom right corner of the back is the number, "61." The photograph was housed in Agnes Temple's album which is item 96.7.94.1 along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With two small stains at the front center and top right, the artifact is in good condition overall.
