Description

LA CASA NUEVA WEST ELEVATION, NORTH CORNER, FROM THE WEST LAWN AREA Color: Black; White A negative of the northwest corner, west elevation, of La Casa Nueva, ca. 1925. The walls are rough plastered, the roof tiled, and a scaffold erected up to where the wings begin on the west elevation. A portion of the second floor west sundeck is visible at the far right, as is a small portion of the wing below. The area around the house now comprising the West Lawn is unlandscaped and a cable extends from top center toward bottom left of the image, though its purpose not known. There is also some construction debris present in this section. At the background is a section of the enclosure wall at the north of the home. With some damage to the left center edge, including a pinhole size loss and some discoloration at the right edge, none of which intrudes onto the image, the overall condition is good.
