Description

LA CASA NUEVA WEST LAWN FROM THE ARBOR NEAR THE MUSIC ROOM Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the west lawn of La Casa Nueva, as seen from underneath the arbor outside the music room, ca. 1941-42. Two columns supporting the arbor, which had a large flowering vine on it, are at the left and right foreground. Between the arbor and the background is a lawn. At background center is a rose garden. An adobe planter and grove of palm trees are at the far left. In the far background is the Mission Walkway, with wooden trellis supports quite visible. At the upper right corner is the penciled inscription "#23", while at the center is a penciled number "9." With little discernible signs of wear or damage, the object is in good condition.
