Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of La Casa Nueva's Courtyard, ca. 1920s. The courtyard is at the center with the fountain, two banana trees, and a planter at the middle. At the left and right are the long patios of the home which have round pillars and ceramic-shingled roofs. At the arched entrance of the left patio are hanging tapestries on an easel, and under the right is a table with two chairs and a planter. On top of this is an open patio with beams across the top. To the left of this is the north side of the house which includes the exterior stairway; second-floor balcony with planters; the window to Edgar Temple's bedroom; and the ceramic-shingled roof. At the center of the roof is a solar panel. Across the foreground is part of a brick walkway which is under construction. To the right are two leaf-less trees and a dirt area. At the left is a round planter with a bag oup against it on the far left. At the top left of the back is the number, "700." The photograph was housed in Agnes Temple's album which is item 96.7.94.1 along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With only some yellowing of the paper, the artifact is in good condition overall.
