Temple II, who was the mission historian and editor of the program; a proclamation by the mayor of San Gabriel, Gordon McGinley; a message from Mission pastor Bernard O'Connor; biographies of the assistant pastors; articles on the mission belfry, baptistery, and a mission painting called "La Dolorosa"; an article and photo regarding the Pioneer Reception, hosted by Thomas and Gabriela Temple; a list of events for the four-day celebration; brief histories of the Mission and its ownership by William Workman and Hugo Reid; an article on the Yuma Massacre of 1781; an article on rare volumes in the Mission museum with information on the Temple and Workman families; an article from St. Anthony Claret; and many advertisements from local businesses. Aside from some discoloration on the cover, the program is in good condition.
