Description

LACE SHAWL WITH RED BACKGROUND AND GOLD FLORAL DESIGN Color: Gold, red A lace shawl, owned by Agnes Temple, ca. 1920s. The netting is dyed red with an embroidered vine, leaf, and floral (perhaps roses) pattern in gold and gold fringe. The fringe is attached to the netted portion at the edges, which have a very slight embroidered border. There are some loose threads and, because of the nature of the object, the fabric is fragile, but the overall condition is good.
