Description

LADIES' WHITE STRAW HAT WITH FLOWERS AND FRUIT BAND Color: White; Orange; Red; Green A ladies' straw hat with a band of false flowers and fruit, ca. 1930s. The hat is white with a circular pierced pattern at the top. There is a brim to which the floral and fruit band is attached. At one end of the hat, there is a green felt bow. On the inside band there is a tag with the number "22" printed on it. The estimated date of the hat is discerned from the box, which is item .2 of the accession, and there is also a receipt, which is item .3. With dust, two berries loose from the hat (these are kept in a plastic bag), evidence of some pest infestation, and light and small stains along the bottom of the inside, the overall condition is good.
