Description

Color: Green; Black; Gold A Lady Parker fountain pen, 1928. The artifact consists of a barrel (a) which seems to be made of bakelite and a faux marbled surface. Embossed onto the barrel is the brand and model name, the company name and headquarters the patent number, and the term "LUCKY CURVE," referring to the stylus design. At the end is the gold-colored metal stylus, on which is emobssed "PARKER / LUCKY CURVE." Behind the stylus is a black colored apparatus with serrated edges that delivers the ink to the stylus. An inch or so below the stylus are threads for attaching the cap, which is item (b). This also has the marbled surface, but there is also a metal band at one end and a black fluted band at the other end, to which is attached a thin metal loop to attach the item to other objects. Through the cap can be seen the threads inside which secure the barrel to the cap. Aside from light scratches and minor tarnish on the metal, the artifact is in good condition.
