Description

LAURA TEMPLE DEDICATION PLAQUE AT THE INSTALLATION CEREMONY Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the Laura Temple dedication plaque in the wall near the front door of La Casa Nueva, 22 December 1923. Installed and blessed by Bishop John J. Cantwell on the first anniversary death, the plaque takes up most of the image, except some of the roughly plastered wall around it and a small portion of the window opening at the right. The granite plaque was later moved to the northeastern corner of the house, where it remains today. The word "VELOX" is stamped onto the paper at the reverse and the number "19" is at the lower left corner. In good condition, the artifact has portions of paper mounting corners at the top corners and some surface soiling on the reverse. Number-Units: 1
