Color: Black
A black lace mantilla, owned by Laura Gonzalez Temple, ca. 1890-1920. Appliqued flowers, vines, and leaves are among the intricate detailing. The piece is very thin and sheer and has extensive loss of fabric; soiling; fading; loose threads; broken and out-of-alignment warps and wefts; holes; tears; pulls; and stretching. Because of its fragility, it should not be exhibited; only handled with the greatest care; and is, therefore, considered in poor condition.
