Description

Color: Blue; Brown; Gold; Green A color pencil drawing of the Legion of Honor pavilion, San Francisco, by Dana Bartlett, 22 July 1915. Housed in a dark brown frame and within a thick gold matte, the drawing depicts the domed structure at the center in shades of yellow, black and brown. Under this is landscaping, consisting of trees and shrubs in darker and lighter green with black detailing. At the top around the upper end of the building is a blue sky. In pencil at the bottom right is the inscription: "Dana Bartlett / San Fran July 22 / 1915." At the back of the frame is a cardboard backing held in the frame by small wire nails. There is a wire handing apparatus attached with eye hooks on the sides of the back of the frame. While the frame has some wear and abrasions on it, the drawing appears to be in good condition.
