A letter from Mollie ----- to Cora -----, undated, but circa 1930s. This item was tipped into a ledger kept by Henry Dalton, a Los Angeles merchant. The letter accompanied the ledger and a diary of Dalton's and explained that more than twenty other items were at the Huntington Library and wanted by that institution, but that the ledger and diary were entrusted to the recipient on the condition that they were not loaned. The letter also mentions a photograph of Dalton's home, but this was also not with the ledger. Other information about Dalton and his ranch is included. Aside from a half-fold, some yellowing, and minor soiling and staining, the item is in good condition.
