Description

Color: Black; Orange "Joaquin Murrieta: California Outlaw," by Ireneo Paz, translated by Frances P. Belle (Chicago: Regan Publishing Corporation,) 1925. The 174-page hardcover book has an orange-colored cover with the book title at the top and the translator's name at the bottom left in black block letters. On the spine is the partial title "JOAQUIN / MURRIETA," the translator's name and the name of the publisher. The work consists of twenty-six chapters purportedly a history of the life of one of California's most notorious and famous, if somewhat shadowy, bandits from the nineteenth-century. There are no illustrations or index to the book, which is in good condition with some abrasions and rubbing on the cover corners, dents on the back cover, some light soiling on the cover, and light discoloration on some pages. The pages were poorly cut, but are not indicative of the condition of the book.
