Lilly White Cafe, Los Angeles, ca. 1918. The image shows the narrow restaurant with seating only at a bar with stools, a coat rack on the wall behind the stools, a cook or other staff member next to the bar, a cash register, shelving with supplies on it, a menu board with prices at the left, and lettering on the back wall reading "FISH / STEAKS AND CHOPS." On the reverse is an inscription: "LILLY WHITE / On Main St. at 6th St / across from Greyhound Bus Station / ca. 1918." With some fading, and a scratched off area on the right edge of the matte and fading on the image (perhaps intentional), the overall condition is good.Lexicon
