Description
LITHOGRAPH OF GEORGE WASHINGTON IN MASONIC REGALIA
Color: Black; Gold; Green; White
A lithograph of George Washington in masonic regalia, undated. The item shows Washington in a green sash, white apron, and exhibiting other items from freemasonry. He stands on a platform with classical symbols and items that either reference masonic ideas or provide an atmosphere for those ideas, such as a Greek-like structure with arches, Ionic and Doric columns, pediments, books, masonry tools and devices, and others. The item was damaged beyond repair by very long tears and punctures throughout the majority of the piece and it is therefore in poor condition.
