A real photo postcard of Long Beach Oil Field, ca. 1920s. The view shows a forest of derricks, inlcuding wood and steel, as well as steam plants, tanks, and other outbuildings. At the lower left is "Long Beach, Calif." An ink inscription on the reverse reads "From 8/50," which may mean August 1950, but the image is clearly earlier, as is the style of printing on the reverse of the unused card. With light soiling and minor edge rubbing, the condition is good.
