Description
Looking toward La Casa Nueva from the Water Tower, ca. 1924. The view shows most of the house, mostly of the east elevation, which has rough plastered walls, unfinished window and door openings, plywood sheeting on the roof, and partially constructed balconies. There are no landscaping elements, such as plantings and walkways, though a small portion of the east side of the Mission Walkway is at the bottom, along with some palm and evergreen trees planted next to the Center Driveway. In the distance is farmland on the Homestead and beyond it. As this print was made from the original negative, it is mint.
