An unmounted cabinet card photograph of a Los Angeles-area ostrich farm, ca. 1895. The views shows three animals pecking at the ground near a newly-planted pine tree. In the background are a small wooden storage shed, a white board fence, a road, other structures, and some power lines. The photo does not have markings or inscriptions, so it is not clear if this is the Kenilworth farm from the Cahuenga Pass and, later, Santa Monica, area, Cawston's from South Pasadena or another farm or, perhaps, a private residence. With some creases, soiling, and a few small stains, the condition is good.
