Description

Color: Black; White A stereoview of Los Angeles City Hall, by the Keystone View Company, ca. 1928. The image shows the newly-completed structure from the southwest, including the 28-story tower, the two small flanking towers and the lower four story base. Also of note is the landscaping around the site and some of the sidewalks and streets with people and cars on them. In the background are some structures toward the old Plaza area. At the bottom right is the caption "One of the Finest Municipal Buildings in / the World -- City Hall, Los Angeles, Calif." and the number 32331T. At the upper center is "T179." At the left is the name of the manufacturer and publisher and at the right are the several offices of the company. The reverse has text on the city hall and Los Angeles and reference to the newness of the facility implies a 1928 date. With only a few dents at the top of the back and curvature of the paper, the overall condition is good. Number-Units: 1
