Description

Los Angeles City Hall, ca. 1928. The view is taken from a grassy knoll on the east side of Spring Street to the northeast of the newly-completed strucutre, most of which is captured in the image. A portion of a palm tree and the lawn in the foreground and the tops of automobiles parked on Spring are also in view. On the reverse is a credit stamp for the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and there is a typed inscription: "City Hall, Los Angeles, Calif. completed in 1928 at a cost of $5,000,000." With some soiling on the image and reverse, as well as ink stains and an inked area on the reverse, the overall condition is fair.
