Color: Black; White
A reproduction black and white photograph of the Los Angeles City Treasurer's office, ca. 1905. The image shows a L-shaped paneled wood counter with parts of a desk and a credenza at the background left. From left to right at the counter are staff members John Kenealy, Alexander Roques, and Assistant City Treasurer Boyle Workman, son of treasurer William H. Workman. All three men stand in front of large open ledger books. Kenealy and Roques wear dark suits with white shirts and long ties, with the latter having a light-colored vest. Workman has a gray suit and bow tie. There are a few other details, including an electric chandelier, converted from gas, and a single light bulb hanging from a chain behind Roques. Clothing hangs from the credenza and there are papers attached to it and an assortment of bottles and other items on the upper helf, while prints of two dancing women are resting against the wall on this shelf. At the far right behind Workman is a door. A reflection of what seems to be the front window, behind the photographer is visible between Roques and Workman. As a newly produced photograph, the artifact is in mint condition.
