Description

Los Angeles County Courthouse and Hall of Records, unattributed, ca. 1915. The view shows the Romanesque Revival courthouse, built in 1889, on the left, with its distinctive central clock tower and the Hall of Records, completed in 1911, on the right. Temple Street is in the foreground and there are small portions of commercial buildings to the east at the far right. Electric wire guidelines for the streetcar system over the street are also of note. On the reverse is an ink inscription, "County Curt House, / Los Angeles, Cal." and a stamped number "23891." With soiling, creased corners and edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
