Description

Los Angeles Driving Club, June Matinee, 1908. The item contains the programme of six horse-drawn conveyance races, including anywhere from two to five entrants, the pace, notation of "2 in 3" meaning the winner captures two of three heats, names of owners and drivers, and three columns for notating the finishes. On the back page is a list of officers, directors, committee members, judges, timers, the starter, marshal, announcer and time of starting for the 6 June 1908 event. With the wrappers badly faded and stained and the pages heavily stained, creases and torn, the condition is poor.
